Tool Collections allow you to organize your favorite tools into custom groups based on projects, workflows, categories, or any other organizational scheme that makes sense for your needs. This feature helps you create personalized tool libraries that match your specific work patterns and makes it faster to access related tools.
Creating a collection is simple. You start by giving your collection a name and optionally a description. The name should be descriptive enough that you'll remember what the collection is for—for example, "Web Development Tools" or "Content Creation Suite" or "Client Project X Tools".
Once you've created a collection, you can add tools to it. You can add tools from the Collections page by browsing available tools and selecting them, or you can add tools directly from tool pages using an "Add to Collection" option.
Collections are completely customizable. There's no limit to how many collections you can create, and there's no limit to how many tools can be in a collection. A tool can also be in multiple collections, so you can organize the same tools in different ways for different purposes.
The Collections page displays all your collections in an organized layout. Each collection shows as a card with its name, description, number of tools, and a preview of some tools in the collection. Clicking on a collection opens it to show all tools in that collection.
Collections are particularly useful for project-based organization. If you're working on a specific project that requires multiple tools, you can create a collection for that project with all the relevant tools.
For team collaboration, collections can be shared through export functionality. You can export a collection definition (which tools are in it) and share it with team members. They can import it to get the same collection.
Collections can be edited at any time. You can rename collections, update descriptions, add or remove tools, and even delete collections you no longer need. This flexibility allows you to evolve your organizational system as your needs change.
